So sit back, grab a flashlight and some batteries and make sure you've got a fresh change of clothes because we're going to check out Sub Terra!
Here's an excerpt:
"Sub Terra is a cooperative survival horror board game. You and up to five friends are cave explorers who have become trapped deep underground. You must quickly explore a tile-based cave system to find the way out before your flashlights die and you’re lost in the darkness forever."
In Sub Terra players are explorers that were hired by a secret corporation to find something in a cave system. Unfortunately what you found down there wasn't what anyone had in mind and now you must escape from the depths in a predetermined amount of time!
Players first choose from a number of different characters that each have their own special abilities to bring to the table. The Bodyguard can protect you from cave-ins for example.
After you pick your characters place the health markers on your player dashboard, grab the matching meeple, place it on the starting tile and you're ready to go!
On your turn you will have a choice between various actions such as digging out a cave-in, running, exploring and more. Not to mention your special ability, some of which are always active!
As you explore the caves you will undoubtedly come across something... Something hiding in the shadows. These are the unspeakable horrors that lurk in the shadows. Hunting you down one by one without even being seen!
If you're lucky you'll be one of the survivors to make it out alive. Keep in mind, around every corner is a new tile that may contain deadly gas, a cave-in, a flooded area or one of the horrors.
If you're not so lucky you will be hunted down by one of the horrors that lurk in the cave system. This will of course end the game for that character!
On to my opinion:
Game Art: Ok, I KNOW I say this a lot but the art on this one is perfect. It gives you the feel of a deep dark cave with faint glowing bio-luminescent mushrooms lighting the deepest, darkest corners.
Gameplay: The gameplay for this one definitely captures the psychological thriller that this game is meant to be. It's a pure horrorfest and one that not only captures your fears but also preys upon them by letting your mind create what you're afraid of.
Game Quality: I can't say much on this aspect as I have a prototype copy but if it's like their past release then you know it's going to be top notch. Not to mention the awesome sculptors and artist on this one!
So should you buy this one? YES! If you're a fan of co-op games that can be played solo or with others then you'll want to check this one out. If you like the horror genre then this is definitely for you!
If you like hair raising games that make your blood pump and your mind race then you need to check this one out!

As always, thank you for reading and don't forget to stop and smell the meeples! :)
