Truckin'
All in all this is a great little game and one that I'd like to get the physical copy of some day. I really like how you can build your ships and race across the galaxy while encountering problems and planets galore!

The countdown begins!!!
Well I never even considered this day but it's actually a pretty big day. Today marks the 10 day countdown for the "Game a Day" challenge. That's right, in just 10 days I will have successfully completed my new years resolutions to play at least one game every day this year as well as use the time to get closer to my family!
So today for the game a day my beautiful daughter picked Garbage Day by Mayday Games. So my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I started stacking cards and seeing who would be King (or Queen) of the Garbage Heap, lol!
Turns out after a great game my lovely wife ended up winning! It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to play it again.

Winter is... Here...
What's going on everyone!? Today was a great day. We came over to dear ol' pop's place for gift exchange and to spend the night since my lovely wife has to work Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I didn't bring any games with us because I figured we could all play Ticket To Ride Mobile on our tablets and phones together.
Unfortunately dear ol'pops forgot his tablet at our house so although we still could have done pass and play we didn't.
Instead I conveniently opened up the Game of thrones collectors edition of Monopoly so we played that this evening!
It was a great time and although a lot of people loathe Monopoly I had a wonderful time with family playing the game. And it didn't take 8 hours to play either, lol! :P
If I can figure out how to attach pictures using the blogger app I'll put them on here. If not, I'll be sure to add them ASAP.
As always thank you for reading and don't forget to stop and smell the meeples! :)

Unfortunately my lovely wife had to get to bed because she was getting very tired after working all day but dear ol' pops and I played a 2 player game to the end.

Not for me...
Now to be fair, growing up I've played my fair share of card games but that was long ago before I ever knew about the board and card games that we have now. Those games were fun back then and even once in a while now but that's about it.
This game seems to be fun at first but then just kind of DRAGS on. I have to say that this is one of those games that although I'm happy to have had the experience to learn and play with my family I don't think I'll be playing ever again or at least for a long while..lol.
ANYWAY... I'm happy to say that my beautiful daughter ended up beating us all!!!

Gaming tastes good!
Earlier today I decided to make a cake for the heck of it. After I let it cool I put frosting on it and just kinda did "whatever" to it. Unfortunately it looked downright horrible! Fortunately, on the other hand, it tasted just like cake.. lol!
For the game a day challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter, dear ol' pops and I played a few different games this evening. First up we started with Minecraft the Card Game. It's a fun game that we've played a few times this year and it was dear ol' pop's first time.
After that we played some Good Cop, Bad Cop from Overworld Games. It's a fun little hidden identity game of cops and crooks and one we enjoy when we can get it to the table.
Lastly, my beautiful daughter, dear ol' pops and I played some Tsuro. Unfortunately my lovely wife had to get ready for bed so she could get up for work in the morning otherwise she would have joined us. The first session we played didn't last very long and I took both my daughter and I out of the game by her request.
Then we started a second game because the first one was over so quickly and it was a heck of a game. I thought maybe my daughter was going to be the one to take the win but turns out dear ol' pops won in the end and it lasted RIGHT to the end!

Order up and Burnt to a Crisp!
First up we played some Give me the Brains! from cheapass games. It was a fun and furious session of dropping, passing and stealing the brain and we were all on a roll! After a couple games of that we played some Dragon Run! by Blue Orange Games.
To be honest, we picked this game up a while back but only ever played it once maybe twice. Because it seemed better with a higher player count and we rarely ever had over 2 players then we left it on the shelf.
When I was looking at what we would play tonight it caught my eye and I figured we would give it a shot with three players. I was not disappointed! We were having a blast with the game and it was a VERY simple game to teach as well as re-learn on the spot and in under 5 minutes!

Burnin' down the house!
We were doing great until all the explosions started. Working together and using our abilities to their fullest he was running around extinguishing fires while I hunted down and exported the survivors to safety.
Right as we got to the last person we needed to win a couple explosions sounded and the roof came down on us! It was truly a great time even though we lost and I can't wait to play again.
I was also able to take some pics of the new (to me) camera that I acquired. It's taking some time to get used to using it but I'm really liking it. I believe this will help with pics for reviews.
