All isn't THAT bad though, While waiting in the car to go in(we got there early) we had time to play Loot Letter(Munchkin version of Love Letter) for the "Game a Day" challenge.

Another great game for "travel" situations like that is Oddball Aeronauts. It's one of a handful of games that requires no surface area to play; you keep the cards in your hand (or your lap) the whole time. Great for sitting in cars, waiting in line, loitering in a waiting room, etc. Not a super-complex game, and one round only takes about 15 minutes, but it's got a fun theme and nice artwork.
