What's going on everyone!? Today started out exciting to say the least. I
had a SLIGHTLY unexpected visit from the FedEx man today! (I was
expecting it to show up but didn't know when it would, hence the
"slightly"..lol.)
As you may or may not have heard lately, the fine folks over at Fireside Games teamed up with USAopoly to bring a new game to their "panic" line of games. A game I am COMPLETELY excited to mention that I get to review thanks to both companies. A game called... STAR TREK PANIC!!! :D
That's right, I've got a fresh copy ready for the table so I can give you guys(and girls) a review of this awesome looking game!

Now that I got to FINALLY spread some of the excitement I've had about that subject all day we can get on to our regularly scheduled blogging!
Today for the "Game a Day" challenge I thought it would be nice to sit down at the table and play a game that I had no idea my wife loved so much. A game that she got thanks to the fine folks over at White Wizard Games who make games such as Star Realms and their NEW game that is on kickstarter this very moment called HERO Realms! Be sure to check that one out by the way. I had a chance to get a one-on-one demo of the game and it was a great time!
So the first of two games played tonight was Cthulhu Realms. Now, if you check WAY back on some other "Game a Day" posts you might find this game mentioned here and there. The problem was, my lovely wife loved it but we both kept misunderstanding the rules and abilities in the game.
Fast forward to today and she has been playing it like a champ on line thanks to a code we were give from the awesome folks behind White Wizard Gaming. So now, tonight for the first time in a long time I broke out the ol' game box and we played it one on one.
She... Whooped... My... @$$! She did a GREAT job helping me through the game and explaining strategies and all that fun stuff. But in the end, he annihilated me me beyond recognition..lol.
Next up I decided to get the entire family in for some Delving! So the three of us set up and went on a three crawl journey into the darkness that was within. After a lot of great fun we FINALLY made it through crawl 1.
Then it was on to crawl 2. That was a little on the easy side until all the traps came out of nowhere!
Somehow we were able to avoid them and make it to the last crawl for the night!
And finally, all the monsters and treasures we've been slaying and collecting would all pay off after this! So as a family that not even the strongest breath of a dragon could muster would be enough to split us up! Now, GOLD on the other hand... well... He has a very valid point!
And speaking of points, my lovely wife walked out of the delve with 25 points! Our beautiful daughter scored in at 21! and I had 19. So CLEARLY I need to stay behind them wherever we go, lmao!
As always, thank you for reading and don't forget to stop and smell the meeples! :)

:::Disclaimer:::
Delving is a prototype sent to me for playtesting purposes mainly but once work furthers on the development on the game I'll be doing a review! Please also take note that the art for this game is no where near finished and the art you see is simply placeholder art. Once the game gets going in a direction and an artist is found I'm sure these things will change as well. :)
