D-E-D dead!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge I played a game of Colt Express on the mobile app.  It was a great game but I'm a little biased about the game, lol!

I didn't end up winning but I felt a bit rusty with the game. I can't wait to play it again and trying to win!

Solo Gaming

What's going on everyone!?

Today was a bit hectic and I was running out of time to get a game in but I was able to get a solo game of Carcassonne played on the awesome mobile app.

Thankfully I was able to grab a glorious win for the day!

Another Space Saga

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife and I played some Star Realms and Star Realms: Colony Wars.

In the first game Sam completely kicked my butt as usual. I love her and all but my usual win average is something like 1 in 10 against her, lol!

Next up I grabbed Colony Wars just for a fun second game. To my surprise I actually won! So this surely meant that it must of been my 1 out of 10 to win!

Unfortunately we didnt get to play any other matches as the time was getting a bit late for her and Zelda but I can't wait to play again. It's always an enjoyable time playing games with my better half.

Another slaying!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife,  beautiful daughter and I played Hero Realms and boy did we get our butts handed to us!

Trinity has taken well to this game and is very effective when it comes to dealing out the damage. In this session she ultimately lead to my death but Sam got the kill.

A few turns later, though, Trinity killed her too, with over 30 points of damage!

Bourbon, Boardgames and Best Friends!

What's going on everyone!?

Today we got a surprise visit from a close friend of ours and Kentucky's own, Bearded Bourbonaire! What better way to spend our 16th anniversary than time around the table teaching him Ticket to Ride for the #2019gameaday challenge and sipping some Bourbon!

He caught on quick and when the game was over he even scored second as Sam got first place. Not too shabby for his first time playing!

All in all it was a great visit and great time with friends playing boardgames and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Good ol' fun!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I play some classics.

First up was kings in the corner which Sam ended up winning pretty quickly. As this was Trinity's first time playing she did really and caught on very quickly.

Next up was Sequence and Trinity ended up with the win! She has only played less than a handful of times and still showed she knows what she's doing.

Riding the River!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge and game night my family and I played one of our all time favorites, Zambezi!

And for the first time that I can remember I actually survived to the end of the river!

At the end of the day it's the experience that I like and will always love getting together and playing games with my family. I'll be adding pictures to this post and yesterday's post tomorrow because I didnt get them from Sam before she went to bed.

Good. Simple. Fun.

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played some more Zombie Dice and Roll For It!

First up was Roll For It! which was actually very quick! Luck was on my side and it seemed like every other turn got me a card!

Next up was Zombie Dice and again, the rolls just seemed in my favor for the night!

A MAZE ingly simple!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played Labyrinth. It's a fun little game and even though simply designed, a lot of strategy goes into it!

As the game went on I was able to collect all of my treasures but still had to get back to my starting position.  Sam was right on my heels and finished her collection shortly after I did!

Unfortunately for her, the last move set me up for a path straight back to my starting point! I felt a little bad for ending the game like that but at the same time, it's not like I waited until then on purpose.

All in all, it was a fun game and one I could see being a tad difficult with 4 players so I can't wait to see how that works out!

I love trains

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge we gathered around the table for another first, this time playing Spike from R&R Games.

It was a great game but in the end there is usually a winner and this time was no exception with dear ol dad winning by one point more than Sam!

I though this was a fun game and can't wait until it hits the table again.

HECHO! (MADE!)

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife,  beautiful daughter and I played a fun card game called... you guessed it, HECHO!

This was a very easy game to learn and definitely one that will hit the table more in the near future.

In the end, Sam came in first with a whopping 83 points and Trinity with 71. Not bad for our first time playing! I scored a measly 45 points but still had a blast playing!

Space is the place!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my beautiful daughter and I  played some Star Realms! Her first time playing if I remember correctly.

She did a wonderful job and had me beat but event cards changed the battle to my advantage before she could deliver the killing blow allowing me to painfully win.

It was a great game between the two of us and I hope she wants to play again soon although she already said that she liked Hero Realms better, lol!

Family of Miners!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my lovely wife,  beautiful daughter and I played Quartz! A wonderful game of mining gemstones with a little "take that" element.

The game was a blast to play and as most games we play, is always welcome at our table. When all was said and done, it was Trinity who won the game by around a 50 point lead!

As with any time she wins, I'm very proud to see her growing I to the smart gamer she is becoming!

Family Game Night!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge and family game night we played Tsuro and Agricola Family Edition!

In Tsuro, dear ol' dad and I tied as we crashed together leaving no true winner!

Next up we played some Agricola Family Edition which is one of our favorite family games. The scores were close but at the end, my lovely wife beat my beautiful daughter by TWO POINTS!

All in all it was yet another great evening spent with family, pizza and games and I can't wait until the next family game night!

Rule for one!

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge I just now finished a solo game of Carcassonne on my tablet because my lovely wife had to work late again.

Thankfully I won with about a 20 or 30 point lead. I tried to take a screenshot of the scoreboard but I accidentally ended the app. I DID however manage to get a screenshot a few turns before the end of the game at least!

Clockwork

What's going on everyone!?

Today for the #2019gameaday challenge my dear ol' dad and I played one of his favorite games, Sequence! We ended up played best out of three and it went like clockwork.

First, he won, then I won, and finally him again. It was and always is enjoyable to play and i koom forward to the next time it gets to the table.

As always, than you for reading and don't forget to stop and smell the meeples! :)

Put 'em up!

What's going on everyone!?
Today for the #2019gameaday challenge dear ol' dad and I played a game called Titan Tactics this morning.

It's a great skirmish game in a small package which makes it even that much more awesome! Unfortunately for me,  I wasn't a very good general to my titans and dear ol' dad kicked my butt pretty bad!

All in all it was a great time and I can't wait to play this one with him some more.

New old friends!

What's going on everyone!?

On the 13th I heard that a good friend that I've known on facebook and in the costuming community for YEARS was actually in my state for work so we drove an hour and a half away to meet him and play some boardgames!

It was a great time and I am so thankful we got to meet in person as well as play games. We all had a blast and I think I even got a new fan for a couple of games!

Last one, I promise!

What's going on everyone!?

On the 12th I played some more Carcassonne on my tablet but this time I actually BEAT the AI! I guess it had just been a little while and I needed to play a few games of it to get back into the "groove"!

Hopefully this will be the LAST time I forget to take a screenshot of my digital sessions!

Win some, lose more..lol.

What's going on everyone!?

On the 9th my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played some Roll for it! and some more Hero Realms!

For what seems like the first time this year (and very well may be) I actually won Roll for it! It was a pretty close game really but in the end I was the lucky roller. After that we played some more Hero Realms which my beautiful daughter ended up winning yet again! (She's getting dangerous at this one!)

Feathery Racing Fun!

What's going on everyone!?

On the 8th dear ol' dad and I played Odin's Ravens. This is a fun little racing game with card manipulation and can be a very CLOSE race! Every time I've ever played it has been down to 1 or two spaces determining the winner!

In this particular race, dear ol' dad actually took the win. Not bad for a first time playing!

On the 7th, my lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I all played Blockus for the first time! Such a simple game yet fun for all. Easy to learn and play and I believe my lovely wife won this game as well!

Gotta remember to take screenshots!

What's going on everyone!?

On the 6th day was another day of digital gaming and yes, I forgot to take a screenshot that day as well. I ended up playing Carcassonne against the AI and for the first time in a while actually lost! I couldn't believe that the AI had beaten me but at least it was only by ONE point, lol!

I hear the train a comin'

What's going on everyone!?

On the 5th day I ALMOST forgot that I was doing the #gameaday challenge but luckily my beautiful daughter saved my butt and played a game of Train Maker with me which happens to be one of our favorite dice games to date.

She actually won yet again which was actually a close game because I just needed ONE more card!

4 player slaughter

On the 4th of January we all gathered at our place to have family game night and played some Hero Realms. During this 4 player onslaught my lovely wife ended up annihilating us all! As usual though, it was great fun and always a blast to play!

Digital games count too!

What's going on everyone!?

For the 3rd day, dear ol' dad and I played some Ticket to Ride on our tablets. Unfortunately I didn't think of getting a screenshot of our session but if memory serves me correctly, he beat me by nearly 75 points!

Special Note
(I know pictures are sort of "mandatory" but I will do my best to remember to grab screenshots of digital games in the future.)

I'M BACK BABY!

What's going on everyone!? Its been quite a while since I posted anything on here! Basically, I needed to step away for a little while to raise our little Zelda. Since it had been a while since either of us had been parents to a baby we transitioned roughly to say the least, lmao!

Over the past year it was very hard to be away. It also brought back my severe depression because there was no "me" time. Which I didn't expect there to be but still. Not only were we raising our new little one but we also had to leave our house of over 10 years.

This was for the better though, the place we moved to is owned by a very close friend of the family. So we were told we could be here till the end of days pretty much so long as we paid rent. Well, we were doing awesome over the summer! With a new place, a LOT of yard and even a BARN that I was allowed to build my workshop onto things were going awesome!

So awesome that I started raising chickens, ducks, rabbits and turkeys as well as got a dog and eventually 2 kittens! So as you can imagine we were starting our own little farm. Not only that but I had a dedicated room I was working on for my office and gaming!

Well, fast forward to December and we were then told we are going to have to leave... It hit us hard, VERY hard. To sum it all up, the landlord had a family emergency come up and they need this place for their son. Now, as you can imagine, we're heartbroken and now struggling to find a new place not even a full year later.

I'm a full supporter of family first but this one really hurt us bad.

SO!

Now that I got all of that out of the way! I decided to start gaming again this year and what better way than to do my #gameaday challenge! So as before, I am going to be playing and doing my best to record it on here or my facebook page EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. for the ENTIRE YEAR!

Now, one thing I would like to also point out is that today is actually the 14th of January but I'm predating this to the 1st of January so that I can keep all of the games played each day in order and easily able to be found.

So sit back, grab a drink and get ready to read through Days 1 through 14 of January for the #gameaday challenge!

For New Years Day we went over dear ol' dads for a great ham dinner and a game to kick off the new year. What better game than SH!T HAPPENS to start the year since, well, that seems to happen quite a bit, lol!

I can't remember who won and forgot to make note of it but I can say that I know I didn't win. It was a GREAT little game and made for a hilarious time.

Later on I returned to spend the evening with dear ol' dad and we also played some Small Star Empires in which dear ol' dad ended up killing me in!
