New Game on the table!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge I had intended on playing this awesome game I've played before called Into the Black. The reason is, the creator is waiting from a review from me and is in a bit of a rush. Unfortunately I didn't have time to play it today like I had thought and my wife ended up going to bed early for work in the morning.

This is both good AND bad. You see, I COULD play the game by myself and I have plenty of times but I wanted to get my wife in on the game for a last "Hurrah" if you well. The game has had a few things change since we last played and I was wanting her opinion and feedback as well as my own. So this means that I'll have to wait until tomorrow to play. Fear not! There WILL be a review for this game up by tomorrow evening! :D

Now on to the good part of the night that doesn't include me missing out on playing an awesome game... James over at Minion Games sent me a couple of their recent micro games to check out and I was able to get one to the table to night for a review in the new future.

The game in question is called "Perceptive" and it's a neat little game to say the least. It seems VERY easy to pick up and learn, It's for 1 - 4 players which is always nice and it has a play time of roughly 15 minutes.

I can't wait to go more in depth about this game as well as the other but for the time being, here's a couple pics from tonight's lonely session:

As always, thank you for reading and take care! :)

It's a dice kinda night!

What's going on everyone!? Tonight for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife and I played 2 games of Borderlands Yahtzee and my neighbor came over just in time to play some Zombie Farkle. All in all, had a great evening!

Waiting around...

What's going on everyone!? Today was a bit of a busy day again. I had a doctors appointment for back injections due to my back and neck problems. Long story short, They messed up on my appointment and after a 1 1/2 hour drive I was told to come back tuesday at 7:45am... -_-

All isn't THAT bad though, While waiting in the car to go in(we got there early) we had time to play Loot Letter(Munchkin version of Love Letter) for the "Game a Day" challenge.

Here's a few pics of our game session in the car...lol!

Flu season is here!

What's going on everyone!? Tonight for the "Game a Day" challenge we decided to try our hand at another new game we picked up at the con this past weekend.

We ended up playing Pandemic: Contagion tonight and I thought it was a pretty good one. Sadly my lovely wife came in second with myself in 1st and the dummy disease in last.

Good ol Days!

What's going on everyone!? It's the day after the convention and things are starting to settle down around here finally. After seeing and meeting all the wonderful people and their games I thought it would be nice to go "back in time" so to speak and play some Chinese Checkers with my ever so beautiful wife.

In the beginning she was just feeling a little blah about the game which surprised me because I thought she had wanted to play this game for a while now. Anyway, After a slow start from her, she ended up kicking my butt and ended up winning with 4 turns ahead of me due to my lack of judgment in my moves.

So a HUGE congrats to her for beating me at this game since she doesn't do soo well at strategic games as she says. I beg to differ, she's one of my favorite opponents for strategy because she gives me a heck of a challenge and makes me think outside the box.

Lexicon Day 2!

What's going on everyone!? Super tired today but had an AWESOME DAY. I got to talk with one of my favorite game publishers, Twilight Creations. Also got to play a great game of Game of Energy with my friend Nathan Wright who just so happens to be the designer of the game.

Lexicon Day 1!

What's going on everyone!? I'm here at a board game convention called Lexicon and I'm here for the weekend! Today was a pretty hectic day but after getting our hotel room I was able to finally meet up with others in the board gaming community which was wonderful.

For today's "Game a Day" challenge My wife and I played a fun little dice game we picked up today called Train Maker. It's VERY simple to learn and only takes about 15 minutes to play. It's a pretty fun game and I can see playing this one more in the future since it's for 1 - 6 players!

Here's a few pics of tonight's session. Please don't mind the mess in the pics, we're using a small hotel table to play the games on so it's a huge switch from my table at home, lol!

Twas the night before!

What's going on everyone!? It's been a LONG day and a LATE night. We've been spending the day packing for a con this weekend and a few other things. I ended up playing some Zombie Dice because of the limited time but didn't get any pics since the camera is packed away for the convention.

I can't wait to post a bunch of pics from the convention and to play a bunch of games as well! Sorry this post is so short, I've got to get to bed for a couple hours before the drive in the morning.

Earth, Wind, Fire, Death, Water

What's going on everyone?! Today for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife, neighbor and I played some more MTG. It's something new for my wife and something my neighbor loves so I felt it was a great time playing the game together and helping to teach my wife how to play. She's doing great by the way, still winning, lol!

Here's a couple pics from tonight's session:

Making new decks from scratch out of a bunch of old cards is my idea of fun with it comes to MTG. There's nothing like sitting at a table for hours trying to find out what works well with what. The randomness of it is awesome as well!

It was actually a CLOSE game! We all ended up with 4 wins and the last win was the one who won the set of 5. Turns out my dear ol' Pops won!

What's going on everyone!? Today for my birthday I was pretty busy so I didn't have much time to play a game sadly. I got home about 11pm after running around all day and decided to play some MTG by making a deck out of some booster packs I bought today. Surprisingly I won!

Here's a couple pics of the session:
