8-Bit Bosses!

What's going on everyone! Tonight for our "Game a Day" challenge we played another great game that I had just received in the mail today. BOSS MONSTER 2!

Now, to be fair, I never got the chance to play BM1 but when I got a hold of Brotherwise Games, They suggested this one for me :)

So here we are for our game today. Boss Monster 2.

It's a great game and if you ever get a chance to check it out I highly suggest you do so. Heck, you could just jump over to the review I just did for the game RIGHT HERE!

So anyways, After a bit of back and forthing we were doing pretty good killing off the heroes and having a blast doing it. I can see this one getting some good tabletop time here!

Here's a few pics to show ya and when you get done checking them out, head on over to the review and give it a read as well :)

As always, Thank you for reading and take care! :)

Knights, Thieves and Pirtates OH MY!

What's going on everyone!

Today for the "Game a Day" challenge we played three games. One wasn't so much a FULL play but we still tried. The second was a full session and the third we played for as long as we could be for my ol' Pops had to leave from his visit.

The first game was The Mystery of the Templars, the second was called Sidibaba and the third was Desert Island.

Now, the first game seems like a great game. We didn't get TOO far in though because of the time it would have required compared to the time we were limited to. It's a rough one to learn and play in the same moment so that one is something I'll learn before we attempt it again..lol.

(This one I forgot to get pics of, SORRY! :/ )

The second, Sidibaba was GREAT! It's a completely different style game where players are a team who are going up against a Thief Leader. It kind of reminds me of an old "you're going left and come to an intersection leading West, North and East. Which way do you want to go next?". This game is as close as you can get to that feeling and it EXCELS at it.

(Now, this one was VERY fast paced and because of that I only remembered to get this pic towards the beginning of the game. There's more that's going on behind that blind which is where the "Thief leader does all the other stuff for the game that the players can't see. HOWEVER, PLEASE look this game up, it's AWESOME!)

The third and final game we played Desert Island was another fun game. We found that we messed a few things up while playing but hey, it was STILL fun and that's what matters, lol. Unfortunately this game is for 4 - 6 players so I don't know when we'll be able to play this great game again but I hope it's sometime relatively soon.

(Again, We were having so much fun I didn't get too many pics. The "Fate" pieces for this game are awesome skulls!)

I apologize for the lack of pics on these play sessions but they were ALL new games and we "learned" them all as we went. This meant some busy moments as well as a LOT of fun so there wasn't a lot of times that I could remember pics.

As always, Thanks again for reading and take care! :)

The BIG map!

Tonight we tried out the BIG map for Lost Woods. Tomorrow we're hoping to try out the Survivor mode. Then I'll be able to get a full review going of this awesome game!

Until then, not much to report other than a TON of fun playing tonight. I just LOVE this game. There's so much potential for house rules and a narrative story line that I may end up playing around with it and making some in the future! :D

Here's a couple pics from tonight's session. We tied with 32 gold each so we had to battle TO THE DEATH! Unfortunately I beat her on the roll.

As always, Thanks for reading and take care! :)

A walk in the Woods!

 What's going on everyone!

I'm still going strong on the "Game a Day" challenge and today I thought I'd play a game that I'm going to review VERY soon. It's a game called Lost Woods and in it you try to find your way out of the woods while exploring, finding awesome items/weapons and fighting off enemies!

I apologize for the short post tonight but I don't want to spoil anything for the review. One thing that I'm sure you've all come to expect is that my lovely wife won again! :P

I Should have the review up in a couple days or so, I'd like to try it out with the various modes of play before I post a review. Until then, check out a few pics! :)

As always, Thank you very much for reading and take care! :)

The game itself is enjoyable but there could be a few things tweaked. I worked with the devs to get a copy of it for me to sample as a PnP.

Here's a few pictures from the game tonight. My wife played as the Americans(Because I gave her first choice like a gentleman :P ) and I played as the French(Because they were the red team). There were MANY "ups and downs" in this game. There were times I thought I had her beat like nothing and other times where I feared for my infantry. Alas, In the end, She kicked my butt!:

It's been cold...DEAD cold...

Almost like it's....The DEAD of WINTER!  That's right folks, tonight the wife and I decided to try out the zombie hordes and see just how far we could make it in the colony!

Turns out, the short answer is to the bitter end. We finished the game on the LAST round and my wife was even able to get her secret objective as well!

This one was a lot of fun so I'll let most of the pics do the talking. It's late and I'm ready for bed.

As Always, Thank you for reading and take care! :)

Surprise Games and More!

What's going on everyone! I'm here again with another "Game A Day" challenge post.

Today my wife surprised me when a box showed up in the mail. She ended up getting some stuff off the miniature market RIP sale and never mentioned anything! :D

So today, we had quite a few choices on what to play. We decided on a game called Shafausa to start with. Interesting game with beautiful art.

After dinner we played BEARS! Le Boomb! and Gem Packed Cards with her. All three were great fun with short playtimes. It was her first go at all three games and she said she really enjoyed them all!

Lastly we played a game called StelCon: Infinity which is a bit of a space exploration/combat game with these awesome little customizable ships. It was a little rough in the beginning but it picked up pace pretty quick. Almost TOO quick really, my wife destroyed my homeworld before I knew what hit me!

Well that's it for tonight, As always, Thanks for reading and take care! :)
