Let me at them SPOILS!

What's going on everyone!? Tonight for the "Game a Day" challenge we played a game that will be coming to a store near you VERY soon called Dungeon Busters!

It was a great experience and it turns out our beautiful daughter WON! My lovely wife came in second and as it seems to happen frequently, I got last.

All in all, a great quick game and I can't wait to share the review!

BRAAAAINS!

What's going on everyone!? Today I worked on something a little different than I usually do for board gaming. You can check it out at the video below. :)

Since I spent so much time working on this project and I also had to mow today I didn't end up with much time at the end of the day to play larger game. My lovely wife had to get to bed asap for work in the morning so we decided on a game we've not really played in a little while, Zombie Dice!

As we were getting ready to play, our beautiful daughter said she'd like to play as well. So as usual, I was happy to let her join in on the game!

Turns out, I was the first to reach 13+ with a score of 14. My lovely wife and daughter tied at 15 in the final round so they played one more turn each. Turns out my wife got an additional 4 added to her score for a total of 19. When our daughter was up for her turn she ALMOST tied again but sadly, as she got her 3rd and 4th brains which would have tied her, she also got the last shotgun she needed as well putting her in second place.

As usual, it was a great time for all. Even if it's a game as short as Zombie Dice, it just goes to show that my motto rings true!

Duking it out... In SPAAAACE!

What's going on everyone!? I've have a nice company filled time for the past two days with plenty of things going on and great people as well but tonight everything went quietly back to normal. So for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife and I played some Star Realms: Colony Wars!

It was a great gaming session before she headed off to bed and she kicked my butt at the game which couldn't make me happier. See, for this particular game I thought she just "didn't get it" so to speak. She's great at a LOT of other games but this one seemed to lose her.

Turns out all she needed was practice! She's been playing a LOT of Cthulhu Realms lately on mobile and has gotten pretty darn good at it. She doesn't win every game or anything but she really is good and wins quite a few!

Because of this, she seemed to grasp the concept of the other "Realms" games and is now kicking my but like you wouldn't believe! This is another one of those games that I don't mind losing though, I just have a lot of fun with the simplicity of the game as well as the theme!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

What's going on everyone!? We spent the afternoon/evening over our friends house for good down home cooking again so that means I knew what game to bring for them to play!

So this evening after dinner I broke out Roll For It! again since it was such a hit with them last time! We got to play a full 8 player game and it didn't take to long at all for a winner to be declared. All in all it was a nice and comfortable 30 - 40 minutes MAX which made the game feel right at home and perfect with a group of this size.

We ain't afraid of no ghosts!

What's going on everyone!? Today we had some visitors stay over that wanted to play some of the board games we have. And if you know me at all, I will NOT deprive anyone the chance to play a game! :D

For the "Game a Day" challenge we played Ghostbusters again. The reason for this is they are REALLY big fans of the Ghostbusters so they were VERY interested to know there was a board game of it.

I decided to play the first green scenario with them since I would be teaching the two of them but it went well! We actually succeeded at the scenario and they caught on very quick. The four of us had a blast and they were definitely interested in playing again.

Something Strange!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge I decided to crack the seal on another game I've been eagerly waiting to play, GHOSTBUSTERS!

My lovely wife, beautiful daughter and I played the first green scenario and had a blast! After a bit of reading in the rule we were on our way to chasing and trapping ghosts. It was great fun for all and we ALL got slimed more than once!

We successfully finished the scenario and I can't wait to play the next one!

Here are a couple pics from today's session:

Now, I'm NOT the best painter and it's been a while but I even painted Slimer after the game :)

Then later on this evening my lovely wife and I started a game of Cthulhu Realms in the digital world :)

Space, The Final Fr... PANIC!

What's going on everyone!? Today for the "Game a Day" challenge my lovely wife and I decided to try out my review copy of Star Trek Panic! Turns out, it's everything we LOVE about the other panic games with some new twists and abilities. I can NOT wait to share the review for this one. Top notch work and conversion of Star Trek to Panic!

I'm happy to report that we also WON! It was very close but we just did two intro missions that are suggested and it wasn't so hard that you thought you didn't have a chance but it was also not so easy that you thought it was going to be a simple game.

Man your Battlestations!

What's going on everyone!? Today my lovely wife stopped at our local thrift shop while she was running errands and came home with a surprise for me! It was a different sort of Battleship that was more of a "futuristic" theme that I've not seen. I'm not sure it's a huge deal to most out there but I thought it was cool! :D

So this evening for the "Game a Day" challenge I decided we would try it out. It was pretty much what you'd expect Battleship to be but this was just a tad different with the way the grid is laid out. I thought it was pretty fun.

We MUST Escape!

What's going on everyone!? We had a busy day of running today with another appointment of mine so we didn't have much time at all to play a game throughout the day.

Thankfully, there was just enough time to get in a game of Lost in R'lyeh this evening with my lovely wife and beautiful daughter. After some great gaming and a lot of fun we successfully taught our daughter how to play the game which she grasped on to within the first turn or two.

At the end of the day though, it was my lovely wife who escaped with the win. I would say she "won" the game but as it points out in the game, you merely escaped and therefore prolonged your doom but it will come in time either way, lol!

Learning to use Chopsticks!

What's going on everyone!? Tonight for the "Game a Day" challenge my beautiful daughter and I decided to check out Chopstick Dexterity Mega Challenge 3000! Being that it was a bit late we just played a "Demo version" of the game for tonight. She ended up winning and kicking my butt as usual!
